LARAC Workshop; How to Photograph Your Art
Glens Falls, NY - Are you an artist trying to get your work into exhibitions? Presentation is critical to getting accepted into galleries and shows. Learn how to photograph your art in a more professional way in a five hour workshop held at LARAC on Saturday, July 26th from 10am to 3pm.
Harry Wirtz, photographer and owner of Words and Pictures, will moderate this five-hour workshop for artists about how to photograph their own two and three dimensional art for juried shows. Artists will learn how to; make an accurate photo, presentation and format, color management, and when to do it yourself and when to hire a professional.
The workshop includes hands-on demonstrations with professional lighting units as well as cobbled-together rigs. Participants may bring a camera for film as an option since much of the content can apply to film as well.
Harry Wirtz lives in rural Saratoga County and provides images and graphic arts production services for commercial clients and fine artists. Harry has previously done cinematography and film editing.
Fee for LARAC members is $15, for non-members the cost is $20. Pre-registration is required. Please bring your own lunch. Call 518-798-1144 x 2 or email Patrice Jarvis-Weber at
gallery@larac.org to register and for directions.
